Biography

Jürgen Paape is a German electronic musician. On 1 March 1993, he co-founded the record store Delirium in Cologne alongside Wolfgang Voigt, Reinhard Voigt, and Jörg Burger, which later evolved into the label Kompakt. Paape released the single “Triumph” (1998), which served as the first catalog entry for the label. His works include the EP Reval (1997) and the track “So Weit Wie Noch Nie” (2002), which samples the Daliah Lavi song “Vielleicht schon Morgen”. In 2010, he issued his first album, Kompilation (2010), a collection of previously released tracks. Paape adopts a reclusive public profile, forgoing DJ performances, live acts, and media interviews.
