Biography
Born in Créteil, Val de Marne, on October 19, 1984, Jérémy Chatelain first came to public attention when he took part in the second edition of the TV talent show Star Academy in 2002. Although he was eliminated, the young singer, who had dabbled in piano and drums as a child, nevertheless took part in the tour and signed a solo artist contract with the Mercury label. His debut album of the same name, released in 2003, includes "Laisse-moi" (ranked #10), "Belle histoire" and "Vivre ça". After a role in the series Commissaire Valence and another tour, he worked on a second, more rock-oriented album, Variétés Françaises (2006), from which emerged only a relative success for the track "J'aimerai". Married to singer Alizée from 2003 to 2012, he co-produced her album Psychédélices (2007) and worked with Jonathan Cerrada, Pierrick Lilliu, Willy Denzey, Emma Daumas (under the pseudonym Ramon) and Humphrey (under the acronym JRM). In 2010, he wrote the songs for the children's musical Pollux et son manège enchanté, then became a columnist for Laurence Ferrari's TV show Le Grand 8 (D8). Back to music, he signed with electro label Ed Banger in 2015.
