Biography
Jaguar Skills (born Matthew David Carter, April 23, 1976, in Welwyn Garden City) is a British DJ and record producer who began his career in 2002 at the Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes bar in London. Following a commission for the fashion label Maharishi, he gained prominence playing venues across London and held a residency at Jade Jagger's Jezebel parties in Ibiza and Russia. In 2011, he released his first major mix compilation, Toolroom Knights Mixed by Jaguar Skills. His notable works include the mixes â50 Greatest Dance Recordsâ and â1979â2006: A Hip-Hop Odyssey â 800 Tracks in 45 Minutesâ, which aired twice consecutively on MistaJamâs BBC Radio 1Xtra program. Jaguar Skills also contributed a weekly mix to The Trevor Nelson Show and received the Gold Award 2010 at the New York Radio Awards for his âBBC World Cup Mixâ. He signed with Global Radio in 2013.
