Mad Lion, born Oswald Priest in London, England, is a prominent figure in the hip hop and dancehall music scenes. Relocating to Brooklyn, New York, he became a significant influence in blending reggae with hip hop, frequently collaborating with icons like KRS-One. Mad Lion first caught public attention with his early successes such as the hit single "Shoot to Kill" His debut album Real Ting was released in 1994 under Nervous Records, marking the beginning of a fruitful recording career. This was followed by notable albums like Real Lover (1995) and Ghetto Gold and Platinum Respect (1997). He continued to impact the music industry with his 2001 album Predatah or Prey. Throughout his career, Mad Lion has been acclaimed for his unique style and contributions to the music industry, blending the energetic rhythms of dancehall with the lyricism of hip hop.
