Biography
Son of movie star Will Smith, Jaden Smith became known for appearances in his father's film 'The Pursuit of Happyness' (2008), remakes of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' (2008) and 'The Karate Kid' (2010) and the sci-fi adventure 'After Earth' (2013). He featured on Justin Bieber's 2010 track 'Never Say Never' which reached number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and released a mixtape titled 'The Cool Cafe' in 2012. After the critical and commercial failure of 'After Earth' in America, he focused on his career in music.
His debut album, 'Syre' (2017), went to number eight on Billboard's Top Rap Albums Chart, number ten on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and number 24 on the Billboard 200. A second album, 'Syre: The Electric Album', came out in 2018. He appeared on J. Cole's KOD tour in 2018 and performed at Lollapalooza with 2019 seeing him perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California and Something in the Water 2019 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
