Biography
Hailing from Yaoundé in Cameroon, Toua Ekani Christophe Ghislain is making a name for himself with the public through his pseudonym Izi Carter. Active in the music world since 2016, he officially debuted through his singles "Boundélé" (2016) and "Makepeli " (2016), featuring rapper OJI. Influenced by trap and the rhythms he rubs shoulders with across his country, Izi Carter leans towards a dark electronic afro trap. Following on from "On contrôle la capitale " (2017) and "Show" (2018), this latest particularity is reflected in the title of his freestyle series entitled Nwouar sera le règne, which began in 2019. The same year, Izi Carter unveils the Ma vision EP, which establishes him in the local rap scene, before evolving towards more vocals on his track "Je suis trop mignon" made public in 2020.
