Isla de Caras is an Argentine indie pop band from Buenos Aires, currently formed by Lautaro Cura on vocals, Francisco Villa on guitar, Manuel Schupak on bass, Nicolás Fernández de la Puente on drums, and Santiago MartÃnez on keyboards. The project began releasing music in 2016 and took shape around Cura and MartÃnez before expanding into its current five-piece lineup. Its first album, Chango, arrived in 2018 with a relaxed, tropical-leaning sound that mixed indie pop, R&B, soft rock, and Argentine canción. In 2021, Isla de Caras released Una Caricia, a key step for the current formation, produced mainly with MatÃas Cella and later presented on tour in Europe and at Buenos Airesâ Centro Cultural Konex. The band moved into a fuller guitar-driven sound on Gran Turismo in 2023, an album shaped by songs such as âMi Droga Favorita,â âTerca,â and âTrampas.â In 2025, Isla de Caras released its fourth album, LÃneas Generales, recorded in Mexico with co-production from MatÃas Cella and outside writing contributions from Marcelo âCuinoâ Scornik on several tracks. The album was preceded by singles including âAmigos,â âCartera Perdida,â âCamas Separadas,â and âTu Juguete,â and continued the bandâs move toward elegant indie pop, soft soul textures, synth details, and more direct live-band arrangements. In 2026, the group followed with âSerá Mañanaâ and âDivulgar.â
