Biography

Isha, whose real name is Isha Pilipili, is a Belgian rapper born on June 2, 1986 in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. He began rapping with the collective L'Agency under the pseudonym Psmaker, with whom he released his first solo project Vas-Y Chante in 2008. Despite the success of this project, he stepped back from music due to a lack of commercial recognition. Moving to France, he witnessed the rise of Belgian rap figures such as Hamza, Damso and Caballero & JeanJass, which motivated him to take up the mike again. In 2017, he released the EP La Vie Augmente, marking a remarkable comeback and initiating an introspective triptych. In 2022, he unveils his debut album Labrador Bleu, a tribute to his brother who died three years earlier, with collaborations from OG Gold, Green Montana, Caballero & JeanJass, and Limsa d'Aulnay. In 2023, Isha teamed up with the latter for the joint album Bitume Caviar (Vol. 1), which received a warm critical reception and won the cover of the year award at the Flammes ceremony in 2024. At the same time, Isha pursues his solo career with the album DrÃ´le d'Oiseau (2025), featuring contributions from Green Montana and Dinos. The same year, he reunited with Limsa d'Aulnay for the album Bitume Caviar (Vol. 2), which reached No. 8 in the SNEP chart.
