Biography

The Deep (born Park Yu-jin on July 26, 1996, in South Korea) is an independent singer-songwriter known for blending electronic music, UK garage, R&B, soul, and indie sensibilities into a distinct, emotionally charged sound. She made her solo debut on March 8, 2019 with the digital single âDonât Wanna Be,â and later became one half of the co-ed duo Morethan7, which debuted in June 2019. Working outside of a traditional agency system, The Deep has built a steady body of work marked by introspection and sonic experimentation, releasing digital EPs such as Escape (2020), Eudaimonia (2021), and Messy Room (2023), followed by the EP Electric Pink (2024) and the studio album KPOP B!TCH (2025). Through her independent path, she continues to explore personal freedom, emotional complexity, and genre-fluid expression.
