Biography
Irish Coffee, a hard rock band from Aalst, East Flanders, Belgium, formed in 1970. Initially known as The VooDoo, the group began playing covers of bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin before changing their name to Irish Coffee. Their breakthrough came with the single "Masterpiece", which reached number 5 on HUMO magazine's Single National list in Belgium. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1971, followed by notable singles like "Down Down Down" and "Witchy Lady". They supported well-known acts such as Dr Feelgood and Uriah Heep. In November 1974, a car accident resulted in the death of keyboardist Paul Lambert and the end of Irish Coffee. The band reformed in 1993 to play a reunion show and started playing concerts and clubs with new members in 2002. The band continued to release albums like Revisited (2013) and When the Owl Cries (2015).
