Born in Rueil-Malmaison on April 11, 1984, French composer, musician, and producer Irène Billard is better known by her stage name, Irène Drésel. A multidisciplinary artist, she received her artistic training at the Académie des Beaux-Arts and the Ãcole des Gobelins in Paris. As a visual artist, she works across various media, including photography, video, and performance art. But she is also interested in music and composes in the electronic genre. She began performing under her motherâs maiden name, Drésel, in 2016 when she signed with the InFiné label, which released her first track, âLutka.â Following two EPs, *Rita* ( 2017) and *Icône* ( 2018), she released the studio albums *Hyper Cristal* ( 2019) and *Kinky Dogma* ( 2021), before composing the score for Ãric Gravelâs film, à Plein Temps, for which she won the César Award for Best Original Score in 2023. That same year, Jean-Michel Jarre included one of her tracksâwhich he renamed âZeitgeist Botanicaââon his album Oxymoreworks. The composer then worked on her third album, *Rose Fluo*, which was released in January 2024. After co-composing the soundtrack for the film *Louves* with Paul Sabin in 2025 and releasing several singles, including âWo Ai Ni - ææä½ â with Taiwanese artist æ½PAN (formerly of Aristophanes), Irène Drésel composed the music for the documentary film *Mi Amor*, released in 2026, together with her partner Sizo Del Givry.
