Biography

Formed in 1990 in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico, Interpuesto emerged as a defining force in the rock urbano movement, blending hard rock with emotive storytelling. Founded by vocalist Gonzalo Olvera and guitarist Roberto Reséndiz, the band debuted with Maestro de la Noche in 1990, setting the stage for a prolific career. Their 1993 album Historia de un Minuto solidified their presence, followed by En Guerra de Amor in 1996, featuring standout tracks like "Una Rola de Amor" and "Volveré." The late 1990s and early 2000s saw releases such as Serenata Rocanrolera (1998) and ¡Duele Tu Amor! (2000), showcasing their evolving sound. In 2010, they released El Fin del Mundo, continuing their tradition of poignant rock narratives. Their participation in the 2015 Vive Latino Festival marked a significant milestone, introducing their music to a broader audience. Subsequent works include Historias I (2022) and Historias II (2023), reflecting their enduring relevance in the Mexican rock scene.
