Biography

Infa Riot is an English punk rock band formed in 1980 in Wood Green, North London, by Lee Wilson and Barry D'Amery. Their name is an abbreviation of "In for a Riot." They played a first concert as the opening act for Angelic Upstarts at the Lordship Pub in Wood Green in April 1981. A breakthrough came with the release of the single "Kids of the '80's" (1981), which reached number 2 on the UK Indie Chart in February 1982. Following this success, they released the debut album Still Out of Order (1982), which peaked at number 42 on the UK Albums Chart. They changed their name to The Infas in 1984 and released a second album, Sound & Fury (1984). After disbanding in November 1985, they reformed in 2011 and released the album Old and Angry (2017). Other releases include the live album Live and Loud!! (1988) and the split single "Bootboys" (2011).
