Biography
IlyAIMY, an American percussive acoustic rock band, was formed in 1999. The group's initial inspiration came from a four-member ensemble called i love you And I MIss You, formed in the mid-1990s, which included members Rob Hinkal, William Schaff, Carin Wagner, and Sonny Roelle. IlyAIMY released its first album under the new name in 2003. Heather Aubrey Lloyd joined the band in the summer of 2001, followed by Rowan Corbett and Sharif around 2003, Kristen Jones in 2009, and Joey Jenkins around 2017. The band gained a following through folk music festivals such as Eddie's Attic Acoustic Shootout and coffeehouses across the Mid-Atlantic, northeastern, and Midwestern regions of the United States. IlyAIMY has toured extensively in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, known for its high-energy blend of folk, jazz, rock, soul, and blues. Notable albums include Wingsweep/Wingswept (2000), Myxomatosis Failed (2003), and Cicada (2017).
