Biography

Icarus Witch, a heavy metal band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, was formed in 2003 by bassist Jason Myers. The group released their first EP, Roses on White Lace, in 2004, marking the beginning of their musical journey. They signed with Cleopatra Records and released their debut album, Capture the Magic, later that year. Throughout their career, Icarus Witch collaborated with notable musicians such as George Lynch and Joe Lynn Turner. The band's evolution included a shift towards melodic metal, blending classic metal, AOR, goth, and modern heavy rock influences. They toured extensively, sharing stages with bands like Y&T, Trouble, White Wizzard, and Paul Di'Anno. In 2018, Icarus Witch released Goodbye Cruel World, which received critical acclaim and featured the single "Misfortune Teller". The band's sixth studio album, No Devil Lived On, was released in October 2023.
