Biography

Ian Robb, a Canadian singer born in England, began his musical journey as a folk singer and songwriter. He was a founding member of Friends of Fiddler's Green. Robb became known for his work with the Canadian folk trio Finest Kind. His notable songs included "They're Taking It Away", "The Old Rose and Crown", and "Garnet's Homemade Beer". He released several albums, including From Different Angels (1994), Rose & Crown, and Jiig (2005). Robb received the 2005 Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Traditional Singer.
