I, The Breather was an American metalcore band from Baltimore, Maryland formed in late 2009 by Shawn Spann, Justin Huffman and Morgan Wright. In April 2010, they signed with Sumerian Records and embarked on their first major tour, the Scream the Prayer Tour. Their debut studio album under Sumerian Records, These are My Sins, was released in December 2010. The band's second album, Truth and Purpose, followed in February 2012, featuring the single "False Profit." Throughout their career, I, The Breather toured extensively with acts such as August Burns Red and Slipknot. Their third studio album, Life Reaper, was released in July 2014. After announcing their disbandment in September 2015, the band briefly reformed in October 2020, releasing two new songs: "Prëy" (2022) and "Brainsic" (2021). The group ceased operations again in 2022.
