Howie Beck, born Howard Jay Beck in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian musician and producer. His debut album, Pop and Crash (1997), was recorded at home while recovering from mononucleosis in 1997. Beck gained attention with his second album, Hollow (2001), which featured songs appearing on TV shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Queer as Folk. He signed with Easy!Tiger for European releases and embarked on international tours. Beck's third self-titled album was released in 2006, followed by How to Fall Down in Public (2009), which received critical acclaim. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Sarah Harmer, Hayden, and Leslie Feist. He has been nominated for three Juno Awards, including Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year in 2017.
