Biography

Horcas, an Argentinian heavy metal band from Buenos Aires, was formed in 1988 by Osvaldo Civile after leaving V8. Their first demo, recorded in 1987, included "Mentes perversas" and "Reinará la tempestad". The debut album, Reinará la Tempestad, was released in 1990 under Radio Trípoli. Despite internal conflicts that led to a hiatus from 1993 to 1997, Horcas returned with Vence in 1997, which included the track "Argentina, tus hijos". Despite Civile's death in 1999, Horcas continued and released several albums, including Demencial (2004) and Asesino (2006), the latter of which was their first with a major label, SoyRock/TockaDiscos – Sony BMG.
