Made up of four brothers, Charles (guitar, vocals), Camille (drums), Antoine (vocals, management) and Armand (keyboards, production), the group Hopen was born at the end of 2013 in Lyon. In fact, it was within the diocese of this city that the Auclair brothers, rooted in parish life, first made their mark, through the Worship Academy launched by the pop-louange group Glorious. After a first single entitled "Sonne", released at the end of the same year, the recording of an album was envisaged alongside an ever-increasing number of concerts given in various French towns. Their desire to "bear witness to the joy of being loved by God" is reflected in the band's name, Hopen, a contraction of hope andopen. The four brothers decided to put their studies on hold and launched an appeal for donations to help finance their first opus, supported by a video that quickly racked up tens of thousands of views on YouTube. A second album, Merci, was released in July 2016.
