Holy Blood, a Ukrainian Christian metal band, was formed in October 1999 by guitarist-vocalist Fedir Buzylevych, drummer Dmytro Tytorenko, and bassist Mykhailo Rodionov. Initially leaning towards brutal/hardcore, the band transitioned to death/grind before settling on a folk black-death style. Their album, СÑÑанник, was released in 2002 by Core Zone Records. In 2004, Holy Blood signed with Bombworks Records and gained international attention through their third album, The Patriot, which was released in 2008. The band's lineup underwent several changes over the years, with Buzylevych remaining a constant member. Notable albums include Shining Sun (2010) and ÐÐµÐ½Ñ ÐÑмÑÐµÐ½Ð¸Ñ (2014). Holy Blood is recognized for incorporating Ukrainian folk traditions and Celtic music into their sound, utilizing ethnic instruments such as the blockflute and bagpipe.
