HGH, a Norwegian alternative country and bluegrass band, was formed in 1999 by Martin Hagfors, HÃ¥kon Gebhardt, and Lars HÃ¥vard Haugen. Their unique style, which they dubbed "trashgrass," combines elements of country music and rock with psychedelic influences and the absence of traditional percussion instruments. Their debut album, Pignoise (1999), was recorded in a remote cabin using basic equipment. Following the departure of initial member Haugen, Hagfors and Gebhardt continued as HGH, releasing Trash Grass & Love Songs in 2001. Subsequent albums include Seb's Hotel (2003), Miracle Working Man (2004), and All the Men in Dresses (2007). HGH is known for their dynamic live performances, which often feature unconventional instruments and humorous anecdotes. Their music also frequently references Father Seb, a fictional character inspired by a real-life Italian Motorpsycho fan.
