Born in Tenerife, Spain, Hector Couto emerged in the late 2000s and began drawing notice with early joint work alongside fellow Canarian producer Hanfry Martinez on the World Discourse singles, setting a template of groove-forward house built for clubs. His profile widened in 2013 with two pivotal releases: the Hot Creations collaboration with Darius Syrossian, Whoâs the Douche?, which yielded âCan You Feel It,â and the deep-house driver âGet into the Grooveâ for Get Physical, cementing him as a reliable source of floor-focused cuts. The same year he launched the Roush Label to champion his strain of underground house, a move that has run in parallel with a prolific schedule on marquee imprints. A mid-2010s run included appearances on Moon Harbour, 20/20 Vision and more, and in 2018 he marked Roushâs 100th release with the percussive âTambora.â Hector Coutoâs 2020 single âFat Cutâ on elrow Music underlined his tech-house punch, while a 2024 Break Down EP with Rendher (plus a Dennis Cruz remix) and his remix of Sseroâs âSateoâ kept his name prominent across minimal/deep-tech and peak-time sets. In 2025 he added a fresh chapter with a trio of headline releases: the Hot Stuff EP on Cécilleâfeaturing âEl Houseâ with Chilean vocalist Alejandro Pazâfollowed by the single Alto Son on Too Long Records and the Roush release âBad Bed.â He then teamed with Dimmish on Moxy Muzikâs Obsession EP, pairing the twitchy title cut with the rolling âLetâs Keep Dancing,â reinforcing a signature aesthetic he describes as the jack of Chicago fused with old-school techno atmospheres and his own Iberian roots.
