Biography

Have a Nice Life is an American experimental rock band formed in 2000 by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga. Their debut album, Deathconsciousness (2008), achieved cult classic status through online communities. In 2014, the duo released their second album, The Unnatural World. Have a Nice Life began performing as a full ensemble in 2017 and released the album Sea of Worry (2019). Their performances include the Strange Day Festival (2017) and the Roadburn Festival (2019, 2023). Barrett and Macuga cite influences including My Bloody Valentine, Joy Division, and the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. In 2024, they released a cover of the Low song âWhen I Go Deafâ.
