Eriko Tamura is a Japanese singer and actress who entered the entertainment industry in 1989. Her career was launched alongside the television anime series Idol Densetsu Eriko (1989), which was based on her persona and featured her performing its theme songs. Her debut single âãã³ã¢ã¼ã·ã§ã³ã»ããªã¼ã â was released on 15 March 1989, followed by â好ããâ and âçå£â later that year. In July 1989, she issued her first studio album May be Dream, which was complemented by the EP Der Traum (1991) in February and the studio album 太é½ã®ãã«ã³ã¹ (1991) in June. Throughout the early 1990s, Tamura released a steady stream of studio albums, including Myself (1990), Behind the Heart (1990), å°å¥³ã§ããããã (1992), ä»ã®ç§ã§â¦ (1992), and Sure (1993), alongside compilation albums such as Discovery (1991) and BALLAD (1994). Her major singles during this period include âãªãã¼ã·ãã«â (1990) and âè¹è²ã®æ¶â (1990). Her career achievements were later consolidated in the compilations Twin Best: Eriko Tamura (1998) and Golden Best: Eriko Tamura (2003).
