Biography

Hasan Cihat Örter, born on October 24, 1958, in Turkey, is a Turkish composer, progressive guitarist, and arranger. He began playing piano and violin at a young age and later attended Emin Ongan's Turkish music lessons at Uskudar Musical Association. Örter's versatility as a musician allowed him to play traditional Turkish music, jazz, classical, rock, and metal. Notable albums include Classical Guitar Recital (Anatolian Folk Music), released in 1994, and collaborations such as Inspiration Turkey Anatolian Folk Music (1994). Örter's work has been recognized with awards like the Gold Record Award for Classical Guitar Recital (Anatolian Folk Music). His album Re-formation was released in 1996, an album featuring modern arrangements of Ottoman court music from the 18th and 19th centuries. His discography spans various genres, including new-age, rock, and classical guitar compositions.
