Hang on the Box, also known as HOTB, was an all-female punk band from Beijing, China. Formed in 1998, they gained significant attention when featured on the cover of the local edition of Newsweek six months after their debut at Beijing's Scream Club. The band released several albums, including Di Di Di (2003) and No More Nice Girls (2007). Their music often addressed themes of sex and relationship issues with a politically charged approach. Notable albums include For Every Punk Bitch & Arsehole (2003), Foxy Lady (2004), and their later releases such as Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (2013) and Oracles (2017).
