Biography

Hana Vu, born in 2000 in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer‑songwriter of Vietnamese and Korean descent who began writing songs as a child and performed locally by age 14. She self‑produced her debut EP How Many Times Have You Driven By in 2018 at 17, released through Fat Possum’s Luminelle imprint, and later collaborated with Willow Smith on "Queen of High School." Vu followed with the double EP Nicole Kidman / Anne Hathaway in 2019, the full‑length Public Storage in 2021, the EP Parking Lot in 2022, and the studio album Romanticism in 2024; her single "Care" was released on 14 February 2024. Throughout her career she has opened for acts such as Soccer Mommy and Wet, toured in the Echo Park area, and gained recognition in NME’s 2019 Essential New Artists list.
