Biography

Han Seokgyu, born on November 19, 1994, is a South Korean jazz vocalist and singer-songwriter. He debuted with the digital single "Starlight" in September 2019 and his music is rooted in traditional jazz, with him developing his own distinctive standards. Han gained notable recognition in the jazz community after appearing on the jazz vocalist edition of EBS Space Gonggam. He frequently participates in jazz festivals and interviews across South Korea, establishing himself as a prominent jazz singer-songwriter. His first EP Objet (2019) marked his entry as a singer-songwriter, and his first full album Reset (2022), featuring collaborations with various musicians, helped boost jazz’s popularity. Han actively designs the visual aspects of his Reset album and other projects, reflecting his artistic vision. His single "Fairy Tail," released on August 4, 2025, entered Melon’s Top 500 chart at number 6 the day after its release. Additionally, he shares his jazz love through covers on his YouTube channel "Jazz Chetgyu," often transforming K-pop songs into jazz versions to make jazz more accessible and reach a wider audience.
