Biography
Hällas, a Swedish rock band from Linköping, was formed in 2011 by Tommy Alexandersson and Kasper Eriksson. Initially based in Jönköping, Småland, the group began as a blues rock trio but soon evolved to incorporate elements of heavy metal and progressive rock. Their first EP was recorded at Treasuresound Studio in Jönköping, with Nicklas Malmqvist later joining on keyboards. In 2017, Hällas released their debut album Excerpts from a Future Past under Sign Records. They signed with Napalm Records in early 2020 and released their second album Conundrum, which peaked at number 42 on the Swedish charts and number 84 on the German charts. The band were nominated for a P3 Guld award in the rock/metal category that same year. In January 2022, Hällas announced their third album, Isle of Wisdom, released on April 8 through Napalm Records.
