Hail The Sun is an American post-hardcore band from Chico, California. Formed in 2009 by lead vocalist and drummer Donovan Melero, guitarist Shane Gann, guitarist Aric Garcia, and bass guitarist John Stirrat while they were in college, the group released their debut studio album POW! Right In the Kisser! independently in 2010. They signed to Blue Swan Records in 2013 and released their sophomore album Wake in 2014, which received critical acclaim. In 2016, Hail The Sun signed with Equal Vision Records and released their third studio album Culture Scars, charting at number 38 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. They continued to release notable works such as the EP Secret Wars in 2017, the fourth studio album Mental Knife in 2018. The band has toured extensively with acts such as Dance Gavin Dance and I the Mighty.
