Biography

Haiku Hands, an Australian electronic music group from Sydney and Melbourne, was formed in 2017. The group consists of Claire Nakazawa, Beatrice Lewis, Mie Nakazawa, and performing member Mataya Young. Their debut single "Not About You" was released in 2017. Haiku Hands gained traction with their subsequent singles such as "Jupiter" (2018) and "Dare You Not to Dance" (2019). The group released their debut album Haiku Hands in September 2020 under the labels Mad Decent and Caroline Music Australia. They have supported notable artists such as Flight Facilities and Bloc Party during their Australian tours. Haiku Hands also toured with Sofi Tukker in 2019. The group has performed at various festivals, including Groovin' the Moo, Listen Out, Splendour in the Grass, St Jerome's Laneway Festival, WOMADelaide, and Pitch Festival.
