Hades Almighty, originally known as Hades, is a Norwegian metal band formed in 1992 in Bergen by Jørn Inge Tunsberg and Remi. The group focused on pagan themes rather than satanism. Their first release, the demo Alone Walkyng, was issued in 1993 and gained attention within the underground black metal community. Hades signed with Full Moon Productions for their debut album, ...Again Shall Be, released in 1994. In 1997, they released The Dawn of the Dying Sun. The band toured extensively through Europe, the USA, and Mexico before changing their name to Hades Almighty in 1998. Their fourth album, The Pulse of Decay, came out in 2001. Subsequent releases include a reissue of their early works by Displeased Records in 2010 and the EP Pyre Era, Black! in 2015.
