The Hackensaw Boys is an American Americana and string band from Charlottesville, Virginia, formed in 1999 by Rob Bullington, Tom Peloso, David Sickmen, and Robert St. Ours. They began busking on the streets of Virginia before gaining traction through live performances. Their first album, Get Some (2000), was followed by Keep It Simple (2002) and Give It Back (2004). They signed to Nettwerk and released the albums Love What You Do (2005) and Look Out! (2007). They performed at major festivals such as Bonnaroo and FloydFest, and collaborated with notable acts like Cake and Modest Mouse. They released Charismo (2016), their first studio album in nearly a decade. Their lineup saw numerous changes over the years, with Sickmen being the only original member to rejoin in 2012.
