Haciendo Punto en Otro Son is a Nueva Trova band from Puerto Rico founded in 1975. Their debut album, Haciendo Punto en Otro Son, released in 1976, achieved classic status in Puerto Rico with hits like "En la vida todo es ir" and "Verde Luz". The band's repertoire became part of Puerto Rican folklore, and they performed extensively across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Notable subsequent albums include Oubao Moin (1977), El Son Que Te Traigo Yo (1977), and Son de la América Nuestra (1981). The group's impact extended beyond their own music as they disseminated works from other Caribbean and Latin American performers.
