Active between 1992 and 1994, the American R&B group G-Wiz enjoyed a short career marked by the success of the track "Teddy Bear". Formed in South Central, Los Angeles, the California trio comprises Craig Cummins, Jamahl Harris and Ron "Farve" Martin. Emerging during the New Jack Swing craze, the group, signed to the Scotti Brothers label, released the Naughty Bits EP (1993) and scored a hit with "Teddy Bear", charted at No. 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remixed by Teddy Riley. After several singles, the trio signed with Interscope Records for the title track "Luv", before splitting up.
