Guvna B (born Isaac Charles Bortey Borquaye on 13â¯Juneâ¯1989 in Newham, Greater London) is a British rapper, songwriter, and producer known for blending faith-inspired hip-hop and grime. After studying business and journalism at the University of Hertfordshire, he debuted with the mixtape The Narrow Road (2008), followed by Scrapbook (2011) and Odd 1 Out (2013), which topped the Official Christian and Gospel Charts. His subsequent albums-including Scrapbook II (2014), Secret World (2015), Hands Are Made for Working (2018), Everywhereâ¯+â¯Nowhere (2020), and The Village Is on Fire (2023)-featured collaborations with Wretchâ¯32, Mattâ¯Redman, and Michelleâ¯Williams. Guvna B earned two MOBO Awards for Best Gospel Act, three Urban Music Awards, and a Gospel Music Award, and presented BBC documentaries such as Gospel Meets HipâHop.
