Biography

Carl Eugene Lilly Jr. (born 11 March 1983 in San Jose), known professionally as Gudda Gudda, is an American rapper and songwriter based in New Orleans. After befriending Lil Wayne as a child, he joined the group Sqad Up with rappers Kidd Kidd and Dizzy, appearing on seven mixtapes between 2002 and 2003. In 2005, he became one of the first artists signed to Young Money Entertainment. Lilly gained significant recognition for his performance on the 2009 single "BedRock", which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. His discography includes the collaborative album Certified (2009) and the compilation We Are Young Money, on which he featured on eight tracks. He established a prolific solo career with the Guddaville mixtape series, including Guddaville (2009) and Back 2 Guddaville (2010). His later work includes the 2021 mixtapes 7 Slugs and Nina.
