Biography
Grossstadtgeflüster is an electropop band from Germany founded in 2003. Singer Jen Bender and keyboardist Raphael Schalz initially released their music as a duo. They were later joined by Chris Falk on drums. After the first demo recordings, the band's debut album, Muss laut sein, is released in 2006. The single "Liebe schmeckt gut" (Love tastes good ) enters the German charts at number 81. Another album, Bis einer heul!!!, followed two years later. With Alles muss man selber machen (2010) and Oh, ein Reh! (2013), further albums followed. The EP Fickt-Euch-Allee followed in 2015. The single of the same name reached number 66 in Austria. One year later, Grossstadtgeflüster released another album, Episode 1+2. With the follow-up Trips & Ticks, the band reached number 15 in the German charts in 2019, making it the first time ever that a long-player entered the charts in Germany. After more than 20 years of band history, the album Das Ãber Icke is released in 2024. At number 5 in Germany, the album climbs into the top 10.
