Ji-hyun Kim, known professionally as G.Soul, was born on June 16, 1988 in the Republic of Korea. After meeting JYP Entertainment in 2001 through an audition show, he trained for 15 years, becoming the longest trainee under the label. He debuted as a solo artist on January 19, 2015, with the EP Coming Home, followed by Love Me Again on June 29, 2015, and Dirty on September 10, 2015. In 2016, he released the digital single âFar, Far Awayâ on May 12, continuing his presence in the contemporary R&B and soul scene. On June 6, 2017, he left JYP Entertainment to join H1ghr Music. On December 2, 2019, he changed his stage name to Golden, then in January 2021 he reverted to G.Soul. Throughout his career, Ji-hyun Kim achieved chart success with several singles and his releases consistently entered the Korean charts. His work earned recognition for blending R&B with Korean pop sensibilities, and he remained an influential figure in the South Korean music industry.
