Biography

Golden, an American rock band, was formed on April 7, 1993, in Oberlin, Ohio. The group initially gained traction with their early singles "Gone To Return" and "Chet's Jalopy", released in 1993 and 1995, respectively. Their debut album, Golden, was released in 1998 under Trans Solar Syndicate. Golden continued to release albums, including Super Original Golden Movement (1999), Summer (2000), and Apollo Stars (2002). The band's sound blended various rock styles with global rhythms, influenced by guitarist Ian Eagleson’s work as an ethnomusicologist. Notable members included Alex Minoff, Jon Theodore, and Phillip Manley, who were also involved in other prominent bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and The Mars Volta.
