GNZ48 is a Chinese idol girl group formed in Guangzhou, Guangdong, in 2016. As a sister group of SNH48, it operates under the Guangzhou Star48 Culture Media Group. Following the "idols you can meet" concept pioneered by AKB48's Yasushi Akimoto, GNZ48 engages fans through regular performances and "handshake" events. The group's theater, the GNZ48 Star Dream Theater, opened on April 29, 2016, in Tianhe District. Initially, GNZ48 comprised Team G and Team NIII, with Team Z introduced later in October 2016. The group has produced several EPs and albums, including their debut EP You Don't Know Me in September 2016. As of April 2022, GNZ48 consists of 51 members, divided into three teams and a trainee category. While affiliated with SNH48, GNZ48 is not officially part of the AKB48 Group.
