Giuseppi Logan, born May 22, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a jazz musician. He taught himself piano and drums before switching to reeds at age 12. In 1964, Giuseppi Logan moved to New York and became active in the free jazz scene, collaborating with notable figures such as Archie Shepp, Pharoah Sanders, and Bill Dixon. He formed his own quartet and recorded two albums for ESP-Disk. After vanishing from the music scene in the early 1970s, Logan resurfaced in 2008 and performed at various venues. He passed away on April 17, 2020 in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York.
