Geschmeido, a German rock/pop band, was formed in 1996 in Freiburg im Breisgau. The group's early work includes their debut release Geschmeido, released in 1997. In 1999, they released their first album, Zwischen den Mahlzeiten, which was produced by Tobias Levin at his Hamburg studio Electric Avenue. This album marked a significant breakthrough for the band. The following year, Geschmeido released their second album, Same Same. In 2007, they signed with Tapete Records and released Auf Wiedersehen. Notable contributions to compilations include tracks on the Müssen alle mit series by Tapete Records. Franz Frowein, a guitarist, left the band in 2007 to pursue teaching.
