Eugenio Roberto Antonio "GeGè" Telesforo was born on October 14, 1961, in Foggia, Italy, and is an Italian jazz and fusion musician, vocalist, drummer, and composer. He began his career hosting Dimensione Jazz on Radio Foggia from 1977 to 1979. Telesforo gained broader recognition through collaborations with Renzo Arbore in television shows like Doc during the late 1980s. He released several albums, including The Best of Gegè Telesforo - Groovin' On the Swing of Things (2006), Love And Other Contradictions (2007), and Nu Joy (2012). Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, Phil Woods, and Jon Hendricks. Telesforo won the Jazzit Award as best male singer annually, and has taught jazz singing and improvisation at the Venice Voice Academy in Los Angeles since 2012.
