Biography

Gary Anthony Taylor, born in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He began his career as a background vocalist, appearing on The Whispers' "Rock Steady" and Vanessa Williams' "My Flame," among others. In 1983, Taylor released his debut solo album G.T. His subsequent albums include Compassion (1988), which features his cover of "Don't Ask My Neighbors," originally penned by his cousin Skip Scarborough for The Emotions, and Square One (1993). As a songwriter and producer, Taylor has collaborated with notable artists such as Anita Baker, Lalah Hathaway, and The Whispers. His work includes hits like "Good Love" for Anita Baker and "Just Gets Better With Time" and "My Heart, Your Heart" for The Whispers.
