Biography
Arriving on the Gabonese music scene at the dawn of the 2020s, General Ithachi made a name for himself with his first single "Ãa tcherele ", released in 2022. It unveiled a singular rap style, with his flow laid down in an original way over electronic productions inspired by the club music circulating in Africa at the time. The young rapper quickly followed up with a number of singles, including "Djonki" (2022) and "Traffic " (2022) featuring E.J, but above all the hit "Tchoukoudoukou " (2022), which went viral, invading social networks and inspiring young people to take new dance steps. On the strength of these initial successes, General Ithachi continued to collaborate with other players on the scene, notably Dousemen on "Far Away" (2023), followed by a hit duet with Gabonese star L'Oiseau Rare for "Skaraboya " (2023) and "C'est encore lui " (2023), which added up to millions of listens.
