Biography

Born in Douala on January 11, 1986, Michael Kiessou was exposed from an early age to the traditional music of West Cameroon, where he grew up. After studying communications, he joined the radio industry. As a presenter, his passion for music led him to develop his artistic fibre. His first song, "Demoiselle", was released in 2012 with singer Edel Koula. An immediate success, the young Cameroonian's approach won over the Hope Music Group label, which decided to collaborate with the artist. This led to the release of a second single, "Abele", followed by "Bennam", the hit that propelled Michael Kiessou's career and heralded his Partage EP for April 2014. Along the seven tracks, Kiessou deploys his Afro-pop tinged with electronic rhythms. With the summer 2014 release of "Tourner Les Reins", which inspires Kiessou's audience to dance, the album Partage (Deluxe) is released the following year and establishes Michael Kiessou as a hit-maker.
