Biography
Futurisk, an electronic electropunk group based in Lighthouse Point, Florida, was formed in 1979 by British expatriate Jeremy Kolosine. Their first single, "Army Now," was released in 1980, followed by their first EP, Player Piano EP, released in 1982. The band disbanded in 1984. In the early 2000s, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy rediscovered their work, leading to a renewed interest in Futurisk's music. This culminated in the release of Player Piano (2010) by Minimal Wave and Lonely Streets Remixes (2011), which featured remixes from notable artists such as Chris Carter and Tom Furse.
