Francis Leblanc, known professionally as Fridayy, was born on 12 April 2000 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and works as an American singer, rapper and producer. Growing up in a church environment, he learned piano, bass and guitar at six and began producing music at fourteen with a laptop gifted by his cousin, eventually developing a baritone vocal style that blends R&B, gospel, hipâhop, and Afrobeats. Fridayyâs first commercial breakthrough came in October 2022 with the single "Don't Give Up On Me", followed by the extended play Lost In Melody that month, which featured a collaboration with Vory. In November 2022 he received three Grammy Award nominations as a featured artist on DJ Khaledâs "God Did", and later that year signed with Def Jam Recordings. The selfâtitled studio album Fridayy was released on 25 August 2023, spawning the single "When It Comes to You" that entered the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a platinum certification from the RIAA. In 2024, Fridayy toured as an opening act for Buju Bantonâs The Overcomer Tour. His second studio album, Some Days Iâm Good, Some Days Iâm Not, debuted on 28 February 2025 and included the Billboardâcharting collaboration "Proud of Me" with Meek Mill, reaching number 51 on the Billboard 200. The EP Everybody Got Somebody was released in 2026, which included the single "Death Do Us Part" featuring Mariah the Scientist. Fridayyâs career continues to be marked by consistent chart success and influential crossâgenre collaborations.
