Frederick âFred Vâ Vahrman (born 12â¯Januaryâ¯1990) and Joshua âGrafixâ Jackson (born 14â¯Juneâ¯1991) formed the English drum and bass duo Fredâ¯Vâ¯&â¯Grafix in Devon, England. Their early collaboration began with informal studio sessions that culminated in the release of the single "Long Distance" / "Room To Breathe" in 2011, followed by "Just A Thought" in 2012, which established their presence on the underground drum and bass scene. The duoâs first EP, Goggles, was issued on 11â¯Marchâ¯2013 through Hospital Records, and the subsequent single "Unrecognisable" expanded their catalogue. In Marchâ¯2014, they signed with Hospital Records and released their debut album Recognise, which entered the UK Albums Chart at numberâ¯106; the single "Forest Fires" (featuring Etherwood) reached numberâ¯77 on the UK Singles Chart. Their sophomore album Oxygen followed on 24â¯Juneâ¯2016, further solidifying their reputation for crisp production and melodic basslines. After a series of performances across the UK and appearances on BBC Radioâ¯1, the duo announced their split in Decemberâ¯2018, opting to pursue solo careers.
